THE BOOK SHELF

Over the past few weeks, I have worked very hard to not only read, view and listen to my texts but also to think carefully about their meaning in terms of the concept belonging. I have been able to deepen my understanding of a range of different texts. I have familiarised myself with a wider range of analysis techniques and learnt how to apply them appropriately and refine them.

I feel that over the past few weeks, my analyses have become more sophisticated and I have become more secure in my knowledge of the area of study- Belonging.

This task has also allowed me to deepen my understanding of belonging within my own life. I have been able to connect to my texts by applying my experience and perspective to understand them in terms of how they can help me in my life. This understanding will not only help me in my education but also in my life.

This insight will stay with me for a long time.

This will also help me for my writing of creative pieces. I understand the concept of belonging more now. In terms if my related and prescribed text as well as within my life. I feel that this has equipped me to be able to express these notions in any narrative, feature article or poem that I may write. In saying this, there is always room for improvement and I could have started the task a bit earlier so that I had more time to delve into my ideas and expand them more than I have.
